Maria’s Love Point Bed and Breakfast Wedding

Ralph and Erin were married on September 23rd, with a ceremony and reception at Maria’s Love Point Bed and Breakfast.

I was particularly thrilled when Ralph contacted me to photograph his wedding because he is also a wedding photographer. I was honored to be shooting his special day. There is something wonderful about being trusted by another professional.

At the beginning of the day, Erin got ready at the venue, while Ralph was at a local hotel, so they wouldn’t accidentally run into each other before their planned first look. Erin wanted to have a first look with her father as well, which was incredibly touching and poignant.

But it was the first look between Ralph and Erin that was one of my favorite moments of the whole day. You could see the emotion wash over Ralph’s face when he first saw Erin—it was so raw and powerful.

The ceremony itself was held with a simple yet stunning backdrop, with a view on the waterfront and a reception tent set up near the water. Over 200 people were in attendance at the wedding, which was especially amazing because Erin had created custom coasters for every single one of the guests with a four-leaf clover she had hand-picked. For Erin to hand-pick that many four-leaf clovers to give away was nothing short of remarkable. What’s more, the clovers were a nod to their heritage—with Irish and Italian nods throughout the event in the décor.

Once we were off to the reception, Erin’s sister gave the Maid of Honor toast—a reenactment of a skit that the two of them used to perform when they were children. The whole crowd was laughing by the time she was through!

In fact, the whole wedding party was full of laughs. The energy was amazing, and the dance floor was packed all night. A wedding party like this honestly makes any wedding more fun to shoot, especially when you get an enthusiastic party like this one who were up for anything—including jumping again and again to get the perfect jumping photo in unison.

At the end of the reception, everyone created a tunnel out of glow sticks leading out to Ralph and Erin’s departure by boat from the pier, and it was off to a new happily ever after for the two of them.

Erin & Ralph, thank you for trusting me to capture your beautiful wedding day! I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful wedding, both in the venue and in the people themselves. Congratulations to both of you.
